ABOUT

In the sweaty pulse of San Francisco's Castro in 1978, Rod—a burly ex-biker in full leather—and Hardy—an edgy sculptor in harness—met at a leather bar and clicked instantly. Both hardcore Pride fixtures, strutting in thongs and attitude, they griped about the same thing: every dildo out there was weak, boring, and couldn't handle real destruction.

One night, after a session that left them wanting more, Hardy sketched a beast—thick, veined, flared, built to last. Rod turned his garage into a workshop, melting silicone and hand-pouring prototypes. They tested relentlessly on each other until they nailed it: unapologetic power tools for men who play hard.

They called it DONGCO—DONG as the classic slang for a big, impressive cock, paired with "Company" to signal they were serious about building something epic for the community. They went underground. Hand-to-hand at bathhouses and circuit parties. Word moved through the scene the old way — mouth to ear, skin to skin. Leather daddies and thong-wearing parade warriors didn't talk about DONGCO loudly. They just never went back to anything else.

DONGCO has been making product since 1978. THE CASTRO is just the first one you get to buy.

They didn't go public because they needed to. They went public because the world finally got interesting enough to deserve it. Four decades of underground operation, ten thousand hours in the workshop, one standard that never moved: if you wouldn't stake your name on it, it doesn't leave the building. THE CASTRO left the building.

Made by hardcore homos for hardcore homos. Not a want. A need. Anything less is settling.
